Healing

Brandy felt sun hit her face from the open window next to the couch she was lying on. She blinked a few times and then it all came back to her. Flashes of the unforgettable curse flashed before her eyes. She took in a deep breath and sat up a bit to calm herself.

Roran saw her upen her eyes and looked up at her as she sat up to calm herself, he sat up sitting beside her. "Morning, sleepy head" he smiled trying to be nice to her for once. He wanted so much to kiss her again but they were both single and stopped dating.

Brandy glanced over at Roran and took in another deep breath. "Why didn't you kill me", She asked quickly as she kept her eyes focused on his. She ran a hand through her hair when a pang of pain shot through her neck again.

Roran pushed her down gently and whispered in her ears. "Don't get up, relax. I'll look after you" he said before answering her question and rested his cold hand on her neck to cool it down to stop the pain swelling so much. "It because I love you. I don't want to hurt you, even though we both stopped dating i still love you " he told her.

Brandy laid back down and looked at him. He didn't want to hurt her? Then why had he tortured her so badly? Brandy was silent for a few moments. "I wasn't lying... back there in the forest...", she said quietly.

Roran looked at her and kissed her on the lips with much enthusiasm. "I know, i saw it in your eyes and your tears" he told her as he backed away from her and smiled politely at her.

Brandy kissed him back gently and watched him carefully. "W-why did she want you to hurt me", She asked quickly, her voice breaking a little.

Roran pulled her closer to his chest and kissed her lightly on top of her head. "She's a killer Brandy. Killing is her thing and she is testing if I am death eater material" he told her feeling warm by her touch.

Brandy didn't know how she felt safe in the arms of the man who had tortured her, but she did. Somehow, she did. Brandy was silent for a while as she looked down at her hands as she tugged at her sleaves in thought. "You should have seen the way she looked at you...", She whispered, "Like, you were some kind of slave. And the way see looked at me..."- Brandy's eyes went wide as she remembered Zylee's face- "Like i was just another something in her way".

Roran smirked at her and flicked his hair out of the way and touch her face lightly. "Brandy. It's over, i'll be here to protect you not torture you anymore." he hushed her up with a finger on her lips then then chuckled. "I have to 'respect my superior' that why i am like her slave" he told her

Brandy looked up at him. He seemd calm about it, like he knew what he was doing, this relaxed Brandy a bit. "Pease dont hurt anyone else...", She pleaded gently.

"I have to hurt someone if they hurt you" Roran corrected her, his voice calm and casual then saw his son running in and jumped beside him. "But anything for you lo- i mean Brandy" he told her then look at his son and smiled at him.

Brandy smiled at Riley, so glad to see him and know he was ok. Brandy took Riley's hand and hoped she could keep him safe forever. Brandy looked back at Roran, "Always keep him safe, Roran", She said. "That's all i want. I need him safe", She said still holding Riley's hand.

Roran wrapped his arm around both of them and kissed Brandy on the chin then down to her neck. "I'll try my best but i cannot promise." he smiled at Brandy and kissed Riley on the forehead.

a bit of a smile crossed Brandy's face. She felt like she was back in a time when the three of them had been one family. "Dady, Are you gonna go again?", Riley asked in his small, gental voice. Brandy glanced at Riley, but did not comment.

Roran looked at her then at Riley again. "No. I'll be around a little longer hopefully i can make it up for your mother" he told him then thought of a brillant thing to do. "You know what. I am going to take you all for a night out eating how that sound?" he asked

"Yeah!", Riley cheered and jumped up and down excitedly. Brandy laughed as she watched him and she grinned at Roran. "Seems like he's made up his mind", She laughed and laid her head against Roran's chest.

Roran laughed and waited until Riley had calm down then leaned in to whisper in his ears. "Go have a shower now and after we eat we'll go to the aquarium" he whispered and Riley hurried to the shower and cleaned himself. Roran turned back to Brandy and laid back letting her rest her head against his chest. "I love you" he told her

Brandy gazed at him, "Strange how that works, huh?", She kissed him lightly, "I love you too", She said, the words she had been dying to tell him finaly were put to use.

Roran smiled at her gazing back at her, his green eyes stared into hers kissing her back. "Very strange" he laughed stroking her face gently and with a flick of his wand he summoned some flower and handed it to her. "I promise to be loyal this time" he told her

Brandy held the flower inbetween her fingers, feeling the petals gently. She smiled and hugged him, "I trust you", she whispered.

Roran raised one eyebrows at her and shook his head negatively. "You shouldn't trust me so fast. Take your time love" he told her whispered back to her and kissed her then deepen to where they were making out

Truth was, Brandy had never stopped trusting him, even after all he had done. She had never lost faith in him. Brandy closed her eyes and kissed him back lovingly, the way she kissed him explained how much she had missed him.

Roran just nodded at her and closed his eyes as he rested his head on her head then relaxed a bit.

"Mommy! Help me pick out my clothes!", Riley ordered from upstairs. Brandy sighed and sat up, "Alright", She answered and yawned getting to her feet and streching a bit.

Roran got up as well and when he reached to his bedroom and helped picked out the clothes then got out the tight black jean. "Try this on love" he tossed it across the room onto his bed then looked around for a top.

Brandy walked upstairs to Riley's room and handed a shirt. She pulled the shirt on over his head and grinned, "There ya go, kiddo".

Roran kneel down beside his son and let his son crawl onto his back, holding onto his neck while Roran held his leg under his arm pit. "You look exactly like your mother son, very pretty and cute" he laughed and then walked over to Brandy taking her hand and with his other hand he flicked his wand into a white plain t-shirt with black tight jeans and a tie along with a black leather jacket.

"if you ask me i always thought he looked more like you", Brandy said with a shrug and held Roran's hand. She used her free hand the waved her wand so that she was in a change of clothes that weren't all dirty and recked up. She put her wand away once she was changed and then walked back downstairs.

Roran wrapped an arm around Brandy and lead her out of the door then looked around carefully for any death eater that might be watching. "I think he look like both of us" he shrugged back as they walked down the street the mall wasn't really far away just a fifteen minute walk. He watched her walk without hesitation of what was ahead of him she was staring blankly at where she was heading. "you know, i feel so guilty for what i've done to you" he told her.
