Needing a place to go

Jade knocked on the door of Elizabeth's house and let the tears fall in the rain. She sighed and waited for Elizabeth to open the door.

Elizabeth went to the font door. She didn't know who would be in the wet rain. But to her surprise, "Jade?" she said when she opened the door. Four months pregnant with Max Parkinson twins, but she doesn't know where Max has gone.

The rain was coming down very hard, but Jade didn't even notice it. She thought back to when she finally left her home, the place she's called home since she was one, she left her wedding ring and almost everything that reminded her of Draco. She even put their wedding pictures in her part of the attic. When Elizabeth finally opened the door Jade smiled a very sad, very forced smile. "Lizzy, I...I didn't know where to go." She said. Since she was standing in the rain, she knew Elizabeth could only tell that Jade was crying because of how she practically sobbed her words out. "I left him..." she said and finally cracked and started shaking with sobs.

"Jade, come in or you'll die of pneumonia." Elizabeth said as she hugged her and continue to hug her by her side. "Evelyn, come bring me a warn towel." She told her daughter Evelyn who was staying over the weekend with Elizabeth since she wanted to be with her instead of all her brothers and sisters. She put the warn towel over Jade. This made her realized that Jade actually left the oldest Draco Malfoy. Another divorce in the family. Another sadness of pain. "Jade, you can stay here." She said softly. She went to get the guest room ready.

Jade came in, picked up her granddaughter and followed Elizabeth to the guest bedroom. "I don't want to leave him Lizzy, I still love him. But I can't take the fighting and the jealousy, and... he accused me of cheating... then I caught him with that whore I was telling you about; they weren't doing anything yet, but he was all over her like a rat on cheese." She said with more tears rolling down her face and a bitter laugh. "He even started drinking again which didn't help anything at all." she held Evelyn close and sighed. "I put all the pictures we ever took together and put them in my part of the attic that is sealed with my magic... he can't get to them... everything he ever gave me or reminded him or me of us I put away... hopefully it'll be like I was never there." she said quietly and kissed Evelyn's head.

Elizabeth listen to the words of Jade while she clean up the guest room with her magic, it been many months since the last person was in the room was Draco II her ex husband. "What is it with the Malfoy's men?" she asked. She stood next to the open window where you can sit down and watch the yard. "With all the fighting, cheating, jealously, drinking, lies, girls such as called whores and their honest is just gone from them." She said to Jade.

"I can't love Drake again. I am already fallen in love with another who is missing in action." she began to cry. "Evelyn, it time for you to go to bed." she said to her daughter erasing the tears. "You can't erase the past, Jade" she said.

Jade nodded and held Evelyn close. "She can sleep with me." Jade said and motioned to the already sleeping girl. "I honestly don't know, Lucius was never like that with Cissy, I envied her because even though he was evil... he loved her." She said and let a few tears fall. "I used to love watching them spoil each other, Cissy would always blush when he did the simplest things for her... Draco did that at one point in time... then I don't know what happened..." she said and laid Evelyn on the bed. Jade took her purse and pulled two little tiny suitcases out that would look like a toy for a toddler. With a wave of her hand they turned into two very large, heavy looking, suitcases. "I'll unpack in the morning." Jade said and took out a night gown.

"I understand that Liz, he just wants to know if they are his or Max's." She said meaning the twins inside of Elizabeth. "You owe him that much." She told her and changed quickly. Jade cleared her throat and sighed. A small house elf smiled up at her. Jade almost cried when Kipper came into the room.

"You called Kipper Mistress Jade?" the small house elf beemed up at her.

"Kippy! You're still alive?" She asked smiling and hugged the house elf.

"Yes, Kipper is, Mistress." He said and hugged back. "Now what can Kipper get Mistress Jade for her cold?"

"Jade, the twins are 99% Max Parkinson, even though that he is Draco II half brother." Elizabeth explained to Jade about the twins. She hugged Jade after she changed quickly. "I be upstairs if you need me." she said to Jade and beg her good night and kissed her daughter sleepy head.

Jade smiled at Kipper. "Just a nice cup of warm tea, as always." Jade said and tucked her grand baby in. She waited only a few moments and got her warm cup of tea. "Thank you Kipper, that will be all for tonight."

"Good night Mistress Jade, sleep well." He said and left the room with a snap of his fingers.

Jade drank her tea quietly, savoring the sweet honey and milk flavor and felt the days events finally take over and make her body tired. Jade crawled into bed and fell asleep quickly.

*Next morning*
Draco walked up to the front door and knocked quickly, yet loudly, three times. He knew it was early, but he also knew that Elizabeth would be up and getting things tended to even at this early hour.

Elizabeth was in the middle of cooking some breakfast, then the door was knocked three times which scared her half to death. She had not heard a such of loud knocking since she had a fight with Draco II Malfoy. Grandfather like Grandson. It was Draco Malfoy, the oldest. She signed when she looked at his face, she would be mad if he woke up Jade and Evelyn. She walked toward the door, and let her self out side while shutting the door, "What do you want Draco?" she asked, "You have to scare a pregnant woman half to death?" she asked once more.

Draco sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, look have you seen Jade? I don't know where she would go. She's not with Emma and Darnell, not with Lucius, not with Nate, not with my mum, I can't find her." Draco said distraught.

Jade peaked out and saw her husband, she quickly hid and ran back to her bedroom and got under the covers acting as if she never woke up in the first place.

Elizabeth looked at Draco Malfoy, "Yes I have seen Jade." she said. "She is with me but you cannot see her unless she wishes to." she had her wand out to make sure he doesn't try to get inside her home. Don't ever get a pregnant woman mad.

Draco sighed, he knew Elizabeth wouldn't let him in. "Well... can you tell her to meet me at our spot tonight at sunset? I really want to talk to her." He said then left looking worse than he had when he came.

After Jade knew he had left she walked behind Elizabeth in tears. "What did he want?" she asked sounding like she would break at any given second.

Elizabeth sighed, 'he sure does look worse' she thought inside her mind. Then she noticed that Jade came behind her, she turned around to face her, "He wants you to meet him at your spot tonight at sunset." she said, "He looks worried about you." She last said. "Come on, I am going to cook breakfast."

Jade thought back to the isolated grandmother willow in the middle of a lake out behind Malfoy Manor, only Jade or Draco could get to it. She sighed at all the memories and for a second let herself remember the times they shared there. Suddenly realizing what she was doing, shook her head to clear her thoughts and let a single tear fall. She was at a loss, should she go or not? Should she forgive him so soon? She sat down in a chair and brought here knees to her chest and put her forehead on her knees. She cried silently and tried to make it look as if she was just thinking very hard.

Jade looked up at Elizabeth with a tear streaked face. "Should I go or not?" She asked, "I really need your help Elizabeth... I don't know what to do anymore..." she managed to sob out. All the good memories of her and Draco flashed in her mind, most of them from her fifth year and then the rest were mainly after she had Sophie and Scorpius.

"Jade, if you love him enough. Perhaps you should hear what he says." Elizabeth answered Jade with her question if she should go or not. "I can help you, Jade." she said. "I think you should go and see what he has to say." Elizabeth was cooking, little Evelyn woke up.

Evelyn walked over to her grandmother and jumped into her lap. "Grandmama, why you crying?" She asked curiously and wiped away a few of Jades tears. "Did Pap pap hurt you feewings?"

Jade hugged Evelyn, "Yes, but Grandmama's going to sort it all out. You don't have to worry about me." She smiled and kissed her grand daughters head.

Evelyn giggled and smiled. "Alright Grandmama." She said and ran to stand beside her mother who was cooking breakfast. "Eggies?"

"Evelyn wants to be the youngest still." Elizabeth said to Jade on the comment that Evelyn still wants to be the youngest kid in the family. Even though her mother is pregnant with twins. Something started to kick, while she was cooking eggs, dangerous situation woman..... for a pregnant woman. "Ouch" she burned her right finger. The twins kicked. The eggs was ready, she put them on three plates.

Jade gently touched the burn and it was healed. "You shouldn't be cooking when pregnant, I found that out when I was pregnant with Sophie and Scrop." She said and sat down in the seat next to Evelyn. She pushed her eggs around her plate not eating anything, she hadn't really eaten anything in the past week. Jade got up poured a cup of coffee and drank it black, just like she always did when she was depressed.

"I still got to cook, Jade. Max is not around, he missing." Elizabeth softly said as she sat down at the table. "You should try to eat, Jade. You'll feel better if you do." she said quietly. Evelyn was eating her breakfast, not even sure what is going on. Another divorced in the family or not. All Malfoy men make mistakes for many things. Draco II had hurt Elizabeth when she caught their babysitter trying to flirt with him.


"What do you want to do today, Evelyn?" Elizabeth asked her daughter who was finished eating her eggs. "Better not be flying." she chuckled.

"Well, while I'm here I'm cooking, and when I'm not Kipper will." She smiled at the house elf who just walked in.

"Kipper would be glad to work under Mistress Jade and Mistress Elizabeth." He said and bowed.

Jade sighed. "I don't need to do anything." She said and looked out a window. "Lizzy, should I leave him... for good?"

"I am not used to house elves, you know Jade." Elizabeth said as she remained her since she had lived in the past as Potter and still is one. "I don't think you should leave him for good." she answered Jade question, "You still need him and he needs you."

Evelyn dragged her mother dress once, "Mommy, that a house elf..." She said. Elizabeth chuckled, "I been reading her the wizard's children stories."

Jade smiled. "Still, he's a free elf, but he refuses to leave my side. Hasn't since I was young." Jade explained. "He'll help you with anything and everything if I'm not here. Of course when I am here I'll be helping you." Jade sighed and ran a hand threw her hair. "It's just... he doesn't understand the whole thing. He immediatly jumps to conclusions and then we get in a fight.... it's just a huge mess anymore."

"A free elf then, perhaps I can give him clothes he can fit?" Elizabeth asked Jade since it looked like he didn't have enough clothes a free elf may have. "Perhaps he likes his job." Evelyn said giggling as she greets the house elf. "She faster than me." Elizabeth said as she chuckled.

"Oh, Kipper loves working for Mistress Jade." he said and bounced with excitement. "She's a very nice Mistress." Kipper smiled up at Jade. "Kipper prefers boxer shorts, but Master Blaise stole most of them, Mistress Jade is getting them all fixed."


Jade smiled down at the house elf and turned to Elizabeth. "It's settled then."

Elizabeth chuckled at the words of what Kipper said of having boxer shorts. That shortly remained her of Max. "I be right back" She said as she went to her bedroom thinking of the first night he spend here with her and they made love. She doesn't know what to do without Max who still in missing.

Evelyn looked at her mother and took a small sighed, "She sad again. Mother keeps being sad." she said to Jade. "I am Evelyn, Kipper. Do you know stories?" she asked Kipper.

Kipper smiled and nodded. "Kipper knows many stories. Kipper used to tell Mater Draco and Mistress Jade many stories when they were young children." He said with a smile.

Jade sighed and followed Elizabeth. "You okay?"

"It hard forget Max" Elizabeth said to Jade, "I just not even sure he'll be here for the twins birth. Draco II never missed it, Addison never missed it too." She cried a bit, "There is too many things that remain me of Max, mostly these little guys." she chuckled at her belly that was kicking. "Pregnant woman should never be crying is a quote by Draco II" she said.

Evelyn asked Kipper, "I can I hear some, please?"
