"Quick trivia question. Why did my other aunt throw me out?" Rose questioned knowing no one knew this but a few people

"We all know that you got pregnant Rose" The woman said "I always figured you would."

Rose gasped getting offeded by this and snapped bitterly at the woman "Atleast I don;t have to go around hidden for a few years. By the way how old are you? You have wrinkles the size of.." Rose said before her sister slapped her telling her to shut up.

Alice looked at her sister with a sern look. She turned back to the woman she hated, "Okay another trivia question. Who is our father?" Alice asked her without any emotion showing on her face. Suddenly the woman's look of shock turned t a smile, "You're mother never told me, or anyone else. No matter how bad I asked, I idolized her, she would not tell this one little detail," the woman said. Alice was getting so angry, how could this woman know so much about their family.

"Final question." Rose said putting her hands on her hips "Why did you wait so long to find us?" She asked

"I didn't know, I thought you where going to be killed once your mother was then the person injured me. I ran." The woman stated.

ALice looked at the woman now proved to be her aunt. "So, you had rather save your own life than protect the lives of your two nieces?" Alice asked in utter shock that someone could act that way. "I would do anything to protect my own niece asleep in the other room."
The woman, no her aunt, looked sad and lost in thought for a minute before she answered. "You must understand that I was young, foolish, and scared." She looked at Alice pleading her for her forgiveness.
Alice looked at her for a few minutes. She had such an uncanny resemblance to Rose, "You must be our aunt. You and Rose look sooo much a like," Alice said trying to lighten the mood just a little bit to prevetn the yelling that would wake her own niece.

At the same time Rose and her Aunt replied "Hey knock it off." Then they both turned and looked at each other.
"Alz,I need help."Rose pleaded at her sister. "I need you to tell me what you think of the dresses I bought." She looked at her sister

Alice giggled at the pair, "Okay, as long as you help me pick out a dress also. I haven't bought any yet because I'm stll not sure if I want to go without a date." She said with a slight sigh, that her sister couldn't pick up, then flashed the two a great big smile.

"Then you...two...go sit and i'll try them on." Rose said and the pair walked in and sat on the couch while Rose tried on the first dress.

"Here." She said showing off a silver gown.

When Rose came into the livingroom, Alice gasped. "Oh my god! That looks stunnishing on you," She said. "If you don't wear that one I will."
Their aunt looked at the dress and Alice only had half the reaction she did. "That looks so gorgeous. Some guy will be jealous at that dance," she said drooling over the dress.
Alice was unsure of what Rose would do since their new found aunt had gone crazy over the dress. Usually with Rose you had to go easy on the compliments or she would hate whatever it was.

"I feel like tin foil thow. I have two more." Rose said and walked back up the stairs to change in her second one. She came back down.



"What about this one?" She asked "Ali I thought that you would love this one more than the silver." She said.

"Oh, I love that one. Instead of wearing the first, if you don't I'll borrow this one." Alice said falling n love wth the dress instantly. Alice looked over at her aunt, waiting to see what she would say.

"Oh Rose, it's stunning.I think that this one is a bit much for you. The color doesn't seem to be working, dear." The aunt said and Rose smiled, showing her that she took her comment to consideration then shot Ali "Can I kill her now?" Now.

"Yeah, but let me show the last one and tell me your honest opinion." Rose said and rushed up the stairs to change in her last. This was the dress she took the longest to get ready on. When she was ready she made a grand entrance.

"What do you think?"

Alice's eyes practically popped out of her head. She could tell that her sister loved the dress also just from the way she ended the livingroom. "Rose this one is so the dress for you," she told her sister honestly.
As soon as Alice finished what she was saying, her aunt chimed in, "You had better wear this one. This one flatters you in just the right way. And it's not too ruffly from the waist down." Alice looked at her aunt, to see her looking pleased about herself.

"Good. You can have the blue one and i want to burn the silver one." Rose said and looked at her aunt who seemed to be crying. Rose sat down beside her

"I'm sorry I was so..rude.."She said softly

"You talk like your mother. Alice acts like her. You look like me and your mom. You act like me. I wish I had gotten to know you kiddos sooner." She wrapping both Rose and Alice in a hug

"We understand." She said "What do you know about mom?" Rose asked her looking at her with her light blue eyes.

Her aunt looked at her "Go change out of that dress so you don't mess it up and i'll tell you all about her." she said. At this Rose and Alice both went upstairs and changed into their pj's. Rose put on some sky blue plaid shorts and a lime green tank top and her frog slippers and rushed downstairs near her aunt. She sat next to her waiting for her to explain.

Alice put on a baby blue tank and her blue tinkbell pj oants along with her leppord print slippers. She ran down the stairs after her sister with a few blankets. She gave one each to Rose and her aunt and settled in for the story.
"Well, when I was younger, I idolized your mom." She eyes sparkled with the memoiers. "I'm about eight years younger than your mother, so you two wouldn't know that much about the age difference. I loved to do anyhing she did, her freinds didn't really like me to tag along, but your mom was so kind about always asking me if I wanted to come also."

"Really?" Rose asked then got a look from Alice meaning, let her finish the story.
"Yeah.You're mum had two favorites of everything. Two Favorite Flowers, Two Favorite Movies, Two Favorite Animals. When we were younger she had a Zebra and a Dog as her stuffed animals. How she loved them." She said her eyes gleaming. "I remember the day she died. We got in a fight about a shade of peach. Apperantly theres shades now. Your mom was engaged to a young man. She had asked me to watch you, since all I did around the planner was wine and complain. So I told her no that she can fend for her own.I was 17 and never understood." She finished and sniffled "The day she had little Rose, she said she had no idea what to name you. She planned everything, even what clothes you would wear home from the hospital and two months from then. She even had you one year birthday planned. She just kept saying how beautiful you were. Then the nurses brought her in some Roses. They where Blood Red Roses." She laughed, just like Alice did when she heard good news "Hense, your name. Then your middle name was after me. Then when Ali was born, she had no idea what to name her. But she had a favorite favorite book series. And the lead girl was everything that she would want her child to be. So she named you Alice. She also thought that Alice fit your classic beauty." She said and smiled putting her arms around the two and pulling them closer.

Alice started to cry. "I wish mum were still here," she said not sounding like she was crying. "You two sound like you were really close. I bet you two were the best of freinds also," Alce said trying to imagine her mum.

"Oh Ofcourse. No matter what I did to irritate her she would always fogive me and vise versa. When I was 8 and she was 16 we had to share a room, we took a red sharpie and divided the room in half. Every was divided in half. Then one day we got over that. It was too funny. I can still hear her telling me to no go to the creek because i'll ruin my dress after church. She tried to shy away from magic. She wanted nothing to do with it." She explained "I can't believe that hasn't crossed your mind little one." She said to Rose

"Yeah." Rose said wiping a single tear away.

"She would be proud. You made a mistake and you owned up to it. She would also be proud of you miss Ali. You stuck by your sister, through everything you too have went through." She smiled.

Alice smilled at her sister, "I would never leave her by chose, no matter what she's done. To me or any one else." Alice ment every word of it.
Her aunt looked at her, "You are such a great sister to her." She had a huge smile on her face, and you could she the memories shining in her eyes of her relationship with her sister.

"What did you and mom do as children?" Rose asked her

Their aunt laughed, "Well mostly I followed her around, but she always invited me before it was following. We stuck together."
Alice looked up at her auntie, "I just realized we don't even know your name."
She looked back down at Alice. "It's Claire," she told them.
"Such a lovely name. If you and mom were so close what made you leave for all those years?" Alice said in a calm and guinly curious vioce.

"I was ashamed. I let my stupid pride get in the way. Your mother was a witch. and good one at that. But she fell in love with a man that was all trouble. They swore up and down they loved each other and then she found out about Rose. I couldn't be happy for her and I just couldn't fake it either. She was only 16 and I believed that her giving Rose up was best for Rose. But she didn't see it that way. She kept her. And I turned my back on her. Then I felt bad for missing out on Rose's birth and everything, and I figured she was angry with me so I just stayed out of her life. I've been trying to get the courage to come and meet you guys and be a part of your lives, but I just couldn't." Claire explained with a slight twist of pain in her voice.

Rose looked down at her feet and back up at Claire "She never forgot about you."
She said looking at something in the distance

"What do you mean?" Claire asked looking at Rose with suspicion

Rose looked at Claire, finally realizing how much they did look alike, and said "Because my middle name is Claire." She said softly looking at her aunt.

Alice thought about her relationship with her sister. Thinking about her aunt's story realized how much Rose was like there mom. How Alice would never be like her aunt when it came to Rose and Madyson.

Claire eyes were huge, her sister had named her first child after her. This made Claire start to tear up. She hugged her nieces tighly.

Alice couldn't help but feel a little out of place with her family at the moment. Her aunt had turned her back on her mom after all her years of devote loyalty. Her mom and her sister where so much alike. She felt like she had very little in comman with most of her family, at least the part she knew.

"Alice you have no idea how much like me you are. Of Course I turned my back on your mother at that point, but we've always been alike. You are somewhat outgoing, really shy. But you can't help but feel like a black sheep. Trust me, I went through it. Your mum was the so called 'Golden Child'." She laughed with a hearty laugh "Let me tell you a story. It was when your mother first met that guy, Quade was his name I think. He was one to fall for ;tall handsome bright blue eyes, but your mother apperently was too. She was stunning, and at only 15. But anyways they always hung out at this cute little diner. He was about 19, of course your mother lied about her age to him. But anyways it was Christmas Day and being with the family she went with Quade to the diner. Well being as bright as they where they decided that they didn't need anyone's permission, so they went up to the nearest chapel to get a shotgun wedding. Well someone how Sam at the diner heard about it and called mum and dad before they even pulled out of the parking lot. Mum and Dad showed up at the chapel and Mum's excuse was that she just wanted to give your mother her blessing, and that she wanted her to marry Quade. Well, your mother wasn't about to do anything Mum wanted her to.And mum knew that. She told Quade that they couldn't get married." She finished. "That was the funniest thing."

At her aunt's comment of her mum being called the "golden child," she could help but think of how her sister and her friend were called the "golden four." She couldn't help but laugh at the irony. "Wow, sounds like something Rose would do," she said jokingly.

Rose gave her sister a disapproving look with the comment she made "Really?" She asked sarcastically, daring her sister to say it again. Rose heard the pitter patter of little feet coming down the stairs and a smile slid across her face. Madyson was up from her nap and gave a small grin when she saw her mother. Her curly white blonde hair was messy and her hazel eyes sparkled when she aw her mother and her aunt "Mommy!" She said jumping into her mothers lap. Rose decided this would be the great time for her to give Alice and Claire some alone time to get to know each other more. She picked Madyson up and carried her up teh stairs on her hip to fix her hair and get her ready for her play date.

Alice wached as her sister and her niece walked up the stairs. "She has a beautiful daughter," she heard her aunt say after a while. Alice came back from her thoughts and looked back at her aunt. "I have a question. If you say we are so much a like, do you have the same gft?" she asked her aunt wondering if she had truely found the source of this power of hers.

Claire looked at Alice and remembered herself when she was that age. "Man anything I would give to be 16 again," she whispered to herself. As soon as Alice asked the question she understood what she meant. "Yes Alice dear. We share this power to see." She was slightly worried about her niece's ability, she should have already seen the answer to this. Just as she had already seen most of the questions they were going to ask her seconds before they asked.

Alice was glad she had someone to help her out a little bit with her ability. She could tell that her visions weren't very strong latey, that waswhen she got them. "Is there any possibilty for it to go away on it's own?" she asked slightly hoping the answer was no.

"The only way for it to go away is to use a certain spell and potion. But it can get blocked, by something very mentally stressful. If ever you have the time just sit still, breathe, and relax and it should gradually help you." She hoped what she had to say would help her niece a little at least. "You're sister is coming back," she said looking towards the stairs.

"Have yoou seend Madyson's brush? I could have swore it was on her dresser a few minutes ago. Alice?" She asked from the top of the stairs

"I thought I saw it in your bathroom earlier?" Alice told her sister about the brush. She pulled her knees up to her chest to hug them. "So my problem with my ability is myself?" She asked her aunt, leaning her head again her legs waiting for her answer.

"Ok thanks." Rosalie said in a rush and climbed up the stairs to get the brush and finish getting Madyson ready
"Well yes. Kind of. See when you are stressed it will never come easy. But if you try to hard to have a vision it will not work either, you have to let it come naturally. There are things that you can do to enhance it, like I told you moments ago about spending a certain amount of time alone a day." Claire said to Alice "That's all there is to it. That and you can't doubt yourself." She said raising an eyebrow to Alice.

Alice was glad she finally had answers about her ability. She kept her head on her knees for a while and just and focused on her breathing. She closed her eyes for a moment and just listened to the world around her. She could feel her aunt watching her, she wished she would go in the other room for a while. She could just slightly hear hr sister and niece talking to each other in the other room. She herd her aunt breathe in before she began to talk, "Where is the bathroom at?" Without openning her eyes Alice told her there was one downstairs. After a few minutes of just listening and breathing, she felt something. She felt a terrible pain, but she wasn't hurting. She openned her eyes hoping the pain would go away. She saw that her aunt had come back silently.

Claire saw something in Alice's eyes. "Are you alright?" she asked her niece.

Alice was slightly confused, as soon as she openned her eyes the pain went away, but it was still fainly there. "I think so.'
